WELCOME TO CPS 1032!
I am Prof. Miller and I will guide you through your journey of learning Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Access. These applications are used often for business and personal use. I will show you how to properly use these applications which will promote your learning and stimulate your creativity. I am very active in the classroom and my students stay busy. I have over 18 years of experience teaching this course and I am excited to share my expertise with you.
Prof. Lorette Miller taught at Wenzhou-Kean University from February 2015 to June 2019 and designed the CPS1032 Online Class in 2017. Prof. Miller taught at Kean University from 2003 - 2014 before going to WKU. She worked as a Project Manager at Avaya, Inc. before joining Kean University in 2003.
Previously, she worked at Comdisco, developing telecommunications strategies for network moves and disaster recovery procedures. She worked in the telecommunications field for approximately 12 years developing an expertise in wide area networking where she was instrumental in separating Avaya Inc. from Lucent Technologies network.
Prof. Miller has experience teaching at other colleges and universities in the
USA that dates back to 1999 where she taught various courses in computer science and general education.
She holds a teacher’s certification in the USA and has worked in the mental health field with children and young adults where she provided them with the necessary coping skills needed to enhance their lives.
Prof. Miller holds a B.S. in Telecommunications Management from DeVry Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Educational Computing from Iona College. She holds a Cisco Certification in Router Configuration, Multilayer Switched, and Scalable Networks.
She was the President of the Parent Teacher Association of the school district where she lives and she still sits on the PTA board as a chairperson. She is married, has 2 daughters and is very excited to be part of the Wenzhou-Kean University faculty.
